Our 9th collaboration marks another beautiful chapter in our friendship with May. @ebonyivory_coffee began as a humble little shop in Cheras, slowly growing into a stretch of familiar shop lots within the old neighbourhood of Taman Yulek. If you're a regular, you'll know-there's something comforting about this place.

Their rice bowls have always offered us warmth. They're the kind of meals that soothe the soul, especially when we need a little escape in the middle of a busy day.
This time, we're serving three special dishes, curated just for Afloat. The beef bulgogi is inspired by our love for Korean japchae-served hot over a bed of fluffy rice, it's deeply satisfying. Pair it with a warm bowl of miso, and everything just feels a little brighter.

The collaboration actually began back in mid-February, but it took us a while to tinalise with the photography, artwork, menu and this very post. We've been holding on to sharing, and to be honest, we felt a little ashamed of taking this long. But here we are, finally.

We know life can feel like a race, hopping from one thing to another. But if you can, take 30 minutes to pause. Treat yourself to a good cup of coffee and a warm bowl of rice.

That's more than enough sometimes.
